学校简介

四川工业科技学院是一所以工学为主,经济学、管理学、教育学、法学、文学协调发展的全日制多科性应用型本科高校。学校位于成渝经济区重要区域中心城市德阳市境内,现有罗江、绵竹两个校区,占地面积1995亩。图书馆馆藏纸质图书110万册,电子图书存量3000G,期刊500余种。学校设有交通、建筑工程、电子信息工程、财经、工商管理、旅游、食品与服装、社会管理、体育、继续教育10个二级学院,开设58个本、专科专业。全校在校学生1.4万余人,有教职工946人,其中专任教师具备高级职称教师占31.8%,具备研究生以上学位教师占37.5%

学校建有121个校内实验实训室和213个校外实训基地。成立了中国科学院顾秉林院士工作室车辆工程研究所、建筑工程研究所、高等教育研究所、李调元研究会、电子商务创新创业中心等研究和实训机构,“高集成度FPGA嵌入式系统研发实验室”被列入四川省科技创新苗子工程项目,交通学院汽车实训中心为中央财政重点支持建设项目。学校承担了职业教育国际交流与合作改革“四川省综合改革试点”项目和四川省特色重点专业建设项目。学校重视科研和应用技术创新,近年发表科研论文近千篇,获得专利数十项,出版高质量学术著作和实施多项科研成果转化

学校坚持以 “立足德阳、服务四川、辐射西部、面向全国、放眼世界”的办学定位,全面创新改革,加快建设具有国际引领性的应用型本科大学。学校立足四川区域经济需求,为地方经济发展培养、输送优秀应用技术型创新人才,建校22年来为社会培养近10万名各类人才。学校先后与德国、美国、英国、澳大利亚、加拿大、日本、马来西亚等国家的教育机构和高等院校建立了广泛的学术交流与人才培养合作机制。聘请德国前副总理兼外长菲舍尔为高级发展战略顾问。引入德国 “双元制”职业教育理念和汽车维修与服务、自动化技术等领域的先进技术教育资源,积极建设中德汽车学院和中德职业技能认证培训中心,为培养高端技术技能人才创造有利条件。学校与“一带一路”沿线东盟国家老挝的南塔省教育厅签订合作协议,提供全额奖学金招收老挝留学生,为中国—东盟全面战略经济合作培养人才目前正在老挝南塔省筹建四川工业科技学院老挝南塔分校。

学校积极响应“大众创业、万众创新”的国家发展战略,以创新创业教育为推进教育综合改革的突破口,树立先进的创新创业教育理念,培养学生的社会责任感、创新精神和创业能力。

学校被教育部命名为首批国防教育特色学校”,被确定为优秀创新创业实训基地、四川省劳务培训基地和四川省创业定点培训机构,被评选为“全国教育改革创新示范院校”、“省级大学生创新创业园区”,学校党委被表彰为“全省高等学校先进基层党组织”、学校团委被表彰为“四川省五四红旗团委”。

Sichuan Institute of Industrial Technology is a full-time undergraduate college that gives priority to Engineering with coordinated development of Economy, Administration, Education, Laws and Literature. Sichuan Institute of Industrial Technology is located in Deyang, which is a regional center city in the important area of the Cheng-Yu Economic Zone. The institute has two campuses, one in Luojiang and the other in Mianzhu, covering an area of over 325 acres. It has a collection of 1.1 million books, 3000 Giga Bites of e-books and over 500 species of periodicals. There are 58 majors available for undergraduate students and junior college students in ten affiliated schoolSchool of Transportation, School of Architectural Engineering, School of Electronics and Information Engineering, School of Finance and Economics, School of Business Management, School of Tourism, School of Food and Clothing, School of Social Management, School of Physical Education and School of Further Education. At present, it has over 14,000 students and 946 faculty  including full-time teachers with senior title accounting for 31.8% and with master degree or above accounting for 37.5%.

There are 121 laboratories and training rooms on campus and 213 training bases off campus, including Academician studio of Gu Binglin, Lab of Automotive Engineering, Lab of Architectural Engineering, Research Center of Higher Education, Research Association of Li Tiaoyuan and Innovative and Entrepreneur Center for E-commerce, just to name a few. Among them, Lab of High Integration of FPGA Embedded System is included in Science and Technology Innovation Seed Project of Sichuan Province, and Automotive Training Center is a key project financed by the central government. The institute undertakes the vocational education project of the International Exchange and Cooperation Reform, and the project of Building the Special Key Disciplines. The institute attaches great importance to scientific research and innovation of applied technology, and in recent years, has published nearly one thousand scientific research essays, obtained dozens of patents, published high-quality academic works and implemented a large number of scientific achievements transformation.

    The institute adheres to the school-running orientationbeing applied, local, open and international, and speeds up the construction of an applied undergraduate college with multiple disciplines and international influence. The institute meets the economic needs of Sichuan Province and cultivates talents with applied skills and innovative ideas for local economy growth. Nearly 100,000 talents in different fields have been cultivated since the founding of the institute 22 years ago. The institute has established a cooperative mechanism for academic exchanges and talents cultivation with educational organizations and universities in America, England, Germany, Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia and other countries. Mr. Fischer, the former German Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, was employed as the institutes senior adviser for development strategy. The institute has introduced advanced technological education resources in some areas, such as, the German dual system concept of vocational education,vehicle maintenance and service, and automation techniques, etc. And it actively develops Sino-German Automobile school and Sino-German Vocational Skills Certification Training Center, to create favorable conditions for cultivating talents with top technology and skills. The institute has reached a cooperative agreement with the Education Department of LuangNamtha Province, People’s Republic of Laos, an ASEAN member country that is located in the Belt and Road region. The institute offers full scholarships for the Laos students in order to cultivate talents for China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Economic Cooperation. Currently the institute is planning to build a branch school in LuangNamtha Province of Laos.

The institute has made positive responses to the national strategy of mass entrepreneurship and innovation with its innovation and entrepreneurship education as its breakthrough in education reform by developing the students’ sense of social responsibility, spirit of innovation and ability of entrepreneurship.

 The institute has been entitled National Defense Education Specialized School, as well as the Excellent Training Base of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Labor Training Base, Designated Training Base for Entrepreneurship, Model Institution of National Education Reform and Innovation and Park of Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The Party Committee of the institute is entitled as Excellent Elementary Party Committee of Higher Education, and Youth League Committee of the institute is entitled as Red Flag Youth League .

 The graduates are well received by employers because they have high comprehensive quality, good professional dedication, strong practical ability, and can quickly adapt to the new job. In recent years, the employment rate has remained above 96 percent, ranking in the forefront among similar colleges in the province. The institute was honored many times as Graduates Employment Advanced Unit Among Ordinary Colleges and Advanced College on Innovative Entrepreneurship Education .
